Have you ever paid attention to how much you or someone complains in one day? Can you go a day without negatively complaining? I have. It is quite interesting. A lot of conversations actually start out as a complaint. Even with that being true, I still do not want to be a complainer. If I am going to complain I want it to be humerous.

Can you go without complaining?

Thinking before you speak is one of the easiest way to stop complaining. Most complaints make you look dumb or you are getting tuned out. Complaining is usually negative and done out of anger. I do not want that negativity.

Why would complaining make a person look stupid? Well say you are ranting and raving about your job. You are the one who applied there. You are getting paid to do it. If you hate it so much, go job searching.

You have control over your attitude, actions, and words. Think before you speak, and stop complaining out of negative anger.

Oh man! We have all had bad days. Saturday I had that day where I had a lack of sleep, wasted time, and dealt with stupid people. I cannot talk about my Saturday without getting angry. That is why I will not talk about the stupid parts. I will tell you what I can find humor in. I opened a bag of skittles and they exploded and went everywhere. I guess my floor wanted to taste the rainbow. Due to my lack of sleep, I decided to get a cup of coffee. I ended up spilling it down my shirt. Not only did I get burned, I had to change. That will wake you up! Sure, these things made me mad at the time, but repeating it made me realize that Saturday was kind of funny.

Ok, I am sure you get the impression that I hate everyone who complains. However, that is not true. There is one way to complain and people will love to hear all about your crappy day. For example, When someone tells about how they got so nervous that they peed their pants. Haha! That is hilarious. If you must complain, complain in an entertaining way. You get to vent and make others laugh. Smiling is contagious, and you cannot laugh without smiling.

We all know that person who complains about everything. That person has the worst life in the world. Just ask that person and they will complain all day. You think you have problems, forget about it. Their problems are way worse. No one can have a life as bad as his or hers.

I just want to say, SHUT UP! Life is what you make it. All they do is focus on the bad. We all have been through bad things in our lives. It’s just a part of life. Shit happens. Get over it.

Focus on the good things in life. Have fun. People will like you more. Let me ask you something… Do you like hearing people complain all the time? I don’t I avoid the complainers. I like to be around happy people. I like to be with people that I can laugh and have fun with. Their happiness makes me happy.
